THE COLLECTION
Each of the artworks created by Queen Sirikit Institute has a
cultural heritage since the time of Ayutthaya. Many of them were
created with the techniques developed in the reign of His Majesty
King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. Every artworks crafted by the
hands of the sons and daughters of impoverished farmers from
Thailand’s remote countryside. Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen
Mother provided them with the trainings from experienced
craftspeople and handicraft masters. Ans with diligence and award
work, they rose to become “Queen Sirikit Institute’s
craftspeople.” The collection could be divided into Archive
Collection which were made for training and conservation, and
Highlight Collection which were made due to the important occasion
of the kingdom.
